Default Tutorial: How to create dynamic backgrounds

By: Crazylord

Tutorial: How to create dynamic backgrounds

Needed tools:
* Adobe Photoshop
* Adobe ImageReady

First of all you will have to create a new project in Photoshop with the same
size as your resolution and create or get a nice background image for it.

This is the background i made for my example:

When you have finished this, you can make a small menu background, like you can
see on my example. If you want to create buttons like i did to manage software
which is installed on your computer, then you should make some new layers,
and draw nice little buttons for it.

If you have finished all of this, then you should export your project to
Adobe ImageReady by using the button at the bottom of the toolbar or use
CTRL + SHIFT + M.

Now ImageReady should have popped up containing your Photoshop project.
First thing you should do is go to Window and open the Rollover and Segment
windows.

After this select the "Segment" tool or press K. Select a layer which contains
one of your button backgrounds, and select the button with your segment tool.

Now you should see a new rollover popping up in the rollover bar. Select it,
right click it, and choose to add a new rolloverstate. Doubleclick it
and set it to "Click".

Now you can start putting the action in when your button got clicked. Go to your
segment window, there you will see "URL: ", put your program it's execution path
in, or if you want it to redirect to a folder, put the folder's path in.

As you should have noticed, you can make lot's of things by changing what the
segmented part should do.

I hope this has been usefull for some people, and if you have tried it, please
post your result. If you have any problems, please just post them in this thread.

+rep if you like it

Enjoy
