How to properly use MSDN

What is MSDN

MSDN is Microsoft it's way of supporting developers. It is an essential resource and contains lot's of technical programming information, sample codes, documentation, articles and reference guides.

Where can i find MSDN

You can find it at http://msdn.microsoft.com.
And a direct link to the library is http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/.

How to find and use information using the MSDN library

When you are in the MSDN library you will see a search bar at your left side. If you enter a existing function name you need more information about, you will find all links of pages in MSDN who contain that string. Also additional information will be showed. As you may have guessed, the only thing you will have to do now, is finding the correct link for your needs.

Once your at the right page, you will mostly see how the function is hooked and additional information. As what the insert values do, etc.

Now what may be interesting for people who don't really know what they are looking for, is going onto the MSDN library page, and in the left bar you will see:

Click the Up One Level, from there you can follow the structure towards your needs
