Where do I start?

Hi am new to the world of editing code in games and really don’t know what I am doing. In the last month I have been playing with ollydbg, IDA Pro, and C++ with not much luck. I have been able to change simple number values but not much else. I’m really not sure where to start. Maybe tutorial or some information on starting? Such as making it so I can see name tags though walls. Something like that. If there is a game with a lot of tuts I could just pick it up on STEAM or retail. Anyways if anyone has any info for a beginner would be really great. Thanks…

You could search. There are tons of such tutorials on this forum.

Look at the tutorial section as well. I know there are some pretty good guides for BF 2 and BF 2142 that does the nametag hack. It is detected now tho.

You cannot create a poem until you speak a language.
Learn a langauge first would be my best advice, C++ would be best but if you find it too heavy there are alternatives.
Then you will find all the information you need to cheat within the forum, written in the language that you will hopefully come to understand.
