Hello UC users... this is just an idea and i hope you dont take it the bad way...(or spam :S)
As i see there are a LOT of leechers in the forums i was guessing if maybe the administrators/moderators can make a rule like "you cant download files til you have at least 5-10 usefull posts" or at least not spaming posts... that way you can filter leechers from regular/normal/greatfull users
This incluides me, i dont have 10 posts but im learning a lot of c++ from the tutorials here and im very grateful with all the material people posted.
I know and u can find a lot of stuff from here in other forums, anyways this was just an idea to stop leechers, beggers, members who just register to download things... etc etc... i registered on march 2008 and i didnt even remember it... maybe i did just downloaded something and never came back... im learning now and trying to aport, as i said this can help to avoid having members like i can see i was..
uc-forum.com and ucdownloads.com are 2 different sites. If I recall correctly, you don't even need a UCD account to download. So there is no way to monitor this.
And as lotox said, you can't stop leechers.

I apologize for making the post in the wrong section, and i dont know maybe someone can delete this? i dont mean you cant share information, tutorials are excelents, you can share and learn but registering just for download some hack or something... i think its just not right.. anyways, thanks u all here for the answers, as i sayd was just an idea
No need to spam this threat anymore so... i think it could be closed now or something... (excuse me if im spamming :S )
If you incorporate something like this you just provide another reason for someone to upload files somewhere else. You bring an influx of spam and not intended as spam but the posts that people think are useful are actually fairly awful kind of posts (see: any anti virus recommendation thread, dumb advice that anyone would know , etc).
People who want to contribute will do it , forcing them to do it leads to poor quality garbage.

Besides, this is pritty much the only site on the net where you can get public hacks without having to scroll past 20 ads to only find a virus disguised as a hack.
