i just wanted to know what the difference between an admin and a moderator is (if there is any).

Basically, moderators are here to watch over the forum (edit threads/posts, delete, close, approve files, etc.) and to help maintain the various forum sections here at UC by keeping them clean and helping gain activity and such.
Admins are also here to watch over the forum as a moderator, but they have separate duties as well, related to managing the forum internally. An admin has a higher authority than a moderator and they will be the ones to make the final calls on big decisions. hth
