[Question] Microsoft detours v1.5 vs v2.x

Quick question that I haven't been able to find a straight answer to:

Many people on the forums have been talking about using detours v1.5 and that it is "better" than v2.x (I don't know the current version - 2.1?).

Why is that? I understand that rather than DetourFunction() there is DetourAttach(), etc, but I haven't been able to find a full documentation on detours 1.5 so I can't see the difference between the two.

Clarity would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yeah I'm running into build issues with VS2010 with detours 2.1. Just going to use 1.5.
