But ummm.... you automatically get updates from all later versions, so there's that.

I doubt they do, I'm sure they have and use way more advanced cryptographics to be able to locate such. They are not "public" organizations that disclose information on what they use for analysis ...

got that from the site. And IDA Pro is about $500 a pop, sure they use other programs but IDA is definitely one of them, it is essentially the Rolls Royce of disassemblers.
