[Source] GenerateShader fix for ati

I was having issues with shaders working on ati cards. Using pixel shader 3.0 fixed the issue.

I was having the issue in bad company 2, perhaps it has to do with a version conflict with the game itself, but ps1.1 worked on my nvidia card.

If I am missing something as far as pixel shader 1.1 working with ati cards, do point it out to me.

Is there a way to make it do PS 2.0? I tried changing ps_2_0 and then my game crashed =/ But, the games I use chams are quite old. So they don't support 3.0.

Using the same code with 2.0 instead of 3.0 it worked on my nvidia card in bc2.

I really wanna know why ps 1.1 doesn't work for ati cards... Hell, this issue dates back to my fc2 pub chams >.>

but you need to know that most of the users can't use PS3.0 because they don't have the right hardware.

According to wikipedia if your card supports directx 9.0c you support shader model 3.0.

I tried this a while back, 2 diff Nvidia cards gave different results, my GTX285 crashed the PC when trying to use 3.0 but didn't go any farther to see why. I don't think 9.0c is the only requirement since there is hardware in use though.

From what I can tell, if a card supports directx 9.0c it should support shader model 3.0. Wiki lists models that are supported, something like GeForce 6 series and up and radeon x1300 and up.

You may be right though, since apparently ati doesn't support shader model 1.1...

You could provide a shader version option via menu, defaulted to 1.1

I Own An Ati Hd 4850 When Using Shader After A while They Disappear And The Game Crashes.

So TryingOut 3.0 And I Got A Problem.

It Says This Function Does Not take six Arguments.

you would use this in your D3D cheat.
if your unsure you would have to learn some C++ at the least
