tried this in window mode, tried it in regular screen mode. does not inject. does NOT work.

Maybe, I mean "external" as "not a engine" (bithack for wallhack, chopper box, etc.). Under external you mean "some app (exe), which use RPM/WPM"? Or tell me, how you understand "external".

Yes, external process.

Using your meaning of "external", many hacks, if not most, are external (d3d hook)..

What Nov said is correct. External as an external process that uses WPM/RPM and draws over the target window. In your case it's a d3d hack then (or d3d hook) since you use d3d to draw and not the engine.

Tbh injector shouldn't really matter providing you use them correctly with the correct access rights.
I always choose DC over Winject though as personal preference.
