Since this is a community forum I would like to get some feedback from the rest of the community.
Jimbo & I have been passing along ideas such as creating a thread dedicated to users who would like to release custom maps to the public.
We can also make a similar thread for mods in general.
We posted a instructional\educational thread under the MOHAA category incase noone noticed. This thread holds alot of important updates about the exploits and glitches that are found in the game. I see that there are alot of people going through them, but it would help if we got some kind of feedback from others to see if what we are doing should continue or stop.
You guys are in charge, Jimbo and I are only here to moderate the flow. Without your feedback and input on how this community is doing we are left with nothing. I know this game is close to dead, but I have seen alot of gamers still play this.
What would you like to see done? Is the educational thread helpful or not? What do you think of the mod section and\or a mapping section?
Comments, complaints, anything goes just keep it clean to a certain extent. Give us some feedback!
I never really got into Pacific Assault or Airborne, and it doesn't seem to show as much interest as the older version (Allied Assault, Spearhead, Breakthrough), but by all means, if we can make a section for airborne & pacific assault and post some stuff in there, I think that would be a good start. Thanks man!
As far as the older versions are concerned, they never had a solid AC. I guess you can say the best one right now is DMW, and although they have been announcing a new release for DMW Pro, I have yet to see it in action and know how good it really is. In either case, as I talked to Jimbo, perhaps the reason that so many people moved onto other games (despite the fact that this game is quite old compared to others), is that it's sooo exploited and glitched up which is why I got the idea of making the educational\Informational thread and post and talk about some fixes and such.
Anything you bring to the table Quicktime would be great and I would really appreciate the participation. Thanks for the post!
WadaDan, what do you think? I know you like Quicktime's idea as do I, but what would you like to see different?
Perhaps competitions that are held monthly\weekly for the best (mod,hack,patch, etc, etc etc). I can try talking to an admin to see what we can do to get some interest and motivation going, I'm just asking you guys to let me know on what you need.
Perhaps making a section dedicated to open source code and explanations and such?
Very slick idea indeed.Even though i do not play this i do play other older title's even older than this,i think this is really a good way to keep an older game alive.
Hey there, yeah I've been told the coding in my sig is off, never bothered to fix it heh. Been lazy sorry. And by no means am I saying DMW is bad, It's just a shame that they don't update regularly.

Punkbuster is not on mohaa, mohaa: s, and mohaa:b no pb so easy games to get if u catch my drift......... DMW can only detect cheats if the client installs it on the computer, Very few people will install dmw on there computers just to play on one server when there is over 1000 other servers
Moh airborne and pacific assault do have punkbuster, and is one of the reasons they failed, the most popular games are normally the ones with the most cheats, no one is making cheats for these games is another reason that these games are failures, punkbuster gets rid of these hacks and it also gets rid of the fake keys people are trying to use online or trying to install on 2 computers at ur house. The last reason that these games are failing is the computer u need to run these games. Mohaa u needed 1.2 gbs of space and not much and still was great quality at the time. Airborne is ridiculously huge for not much, not many people's computers can handle the system requirements that ea is putting out for moh games now. I still wish people played breakthrough still loved liberation player mode in that game
Mohaa- most popular moh game probably what made ea want to make a series
spearhead- fun game, not as popular, still fun to play
breakthrough- fun game for the first month online, less then 200 people play it practically because basically all the game was new maps, skins, weapons, 1 new mode, no increase in better graphics
pacific assault- kind of fun single player, big dissapointment tho (intro to pb to moh series) pretty much complete downfall of moh series
Airborne- probably Nail in the coffin, was suppose to bring series back to many problems pb and super computer u needed
Another problem is I believe EA has given up on the moh series, its basically their tragic hero rises to power but due to EA's flaws it fails. EA does not show very much coverage of the new MOH games... Look at how many commercials battlefield 2 got.... A lot more then airborne, i dont think i even so a commercial on my tv for airborne, only trailer on my computer. EA needs to get rid of punkbuster PERIOD. I also believe they have no right to give u a global ban, I payed $40 or more to get a legal cd key for u and because I get that ban there goes every server..... You should only be banned from that one server. I hope pb gets a lawsuit someday or EA decides to make their own anti cheat that we can tear apart.
Okay enough bashing ea, probably could post this on ea, see the controversy that would arise there
So how do we bring this series back?
I think that if we get more people involved we will bring people back to the moh community and get people to play these games again. Look at counter strike, CS: Source, and Battlefield 2 they have the most cheats and they have the most people playing these games. Consider it a coincedence if u will, but I do not. Mohaa's greatest moments were when cheats were coming out rapidly. I think if we get people to make hacks the way they do with these other popular games people will play these games.....

It does make sense, but I think it could work both ways. Even on the first launch of MOHAA there were still alot of gamers for the game cause there weren't as many hacks. I mean consider this.
1. I agree the lacking AC could be a reason for more hackers playing the game and also a reason for less clean players playing.
2. As far as hacks go honestly what more can be done that hasn't already been done? There is a multitude of chams\wallhacks, there is a variety of no recoils and other small hacks like removing trees\brush and such
3. You have the games most popular aimbot thats also got a series of built in multihacks
4. You can shoot through walls?
The only thing that this adds up to in all honesty (at least for me) is virtually being godlike.. So now you consider going into a server where people are killing you left and right and you can't do anything about it even with chams on. The point is I believe this game is just so over flooded with botters people just left. There is a time and place for everything and by all means if your going to cheat then I suppose go for it, but the hacks literally scared majority of the community away.
Now you brought up CS and its series, and I agree with do they have that MOHAA doesn't? I honestly find MOHAA far better. You say its the hacks and the involvement of the community. I can see that in a way, but another thing that it has that most people rely on HEAVILY is steam. Think about, yes steam can be bypassed, but how many people actually bypass it? And consider the fact on how often Steam updates itself. Unlike any other AC, it's actually on top of the latest hacks, so what keeps the community involved?
1. Here is what I think? Due to the active AC (STEAM), players think they are playing clean games, despite the fact that some players are hacking.
2. FAR more mod support in the community
3. Open Source + they have a bunch of add ons
4. In the hacker scene people are constantly trying to bypass and update their hacks (so in a way both the hacking & the clean community win).
What does MOHAA lack (Open source, A decent AC)
People don't play because they expect to be flooded with hackers.. It's only fun if its a hacking server, but if its a clean server, you can see why it would get OLD fast and people would move onto newer games. With an AC, more hackers would come to try and bypass it, and perhaps more clean people would come as well knowing that now the game is atleast semi protected.
mohaa is probably impossible to bring back but I am talking more about the whole moh series
if and only if EA makes a new moh game it will probably have punkbuster. We need the support and hacks that these other games have. Punkbuster will be forced to update and so would cheats. It would be a competition in itself. Than you will have more people coming to the forums looking for hacks and it will bring more people to ukc and back to the moh series. I dont think anyone wants to try and bring airborne or pacific assault into this and thats why I said there future release. If ea does make another moh game, we need coders here to make hacks as rapidly as other battlefield 2 or counter strike......and there in lies the problem
What they need to do at this point is make a new patch for MOHAA that fixes the half assed engine they released. Creating a whole new series wont do crap. It's obvious that MOHAA is by far the most popular played series of all the rest so if they just stick with whats popular and keep feeding the support to the community it could help out. So far if its not bringing them money they could give two sh*ts about what anyone thinks.
Thats why the alternative is for the community to see what we can do to salvage this game, even if it means going against what we believe (as in help patching it) if you catch my drift.
It is not impossible to bring mohaa back. It is only impossible if you think of it that way.
Yea, there are tons of new games out and a majority of the ex-mohaa players are onto new games. But mohaa is probably one of the most vulnerable game for someone to come back to.
There has been so many times I've heard and witnessed people see something new along mohaa's lines, and say "hey, I might come back to mohaa just for that". All the time I hear people, "I used to play mohaa back then, and now Im back. Whats new?" Problem is, they don't find anything new, just more cheaters and more people that deny it.
Look at the other facts too.. mohaa is only 700MB and doesn't require a unique key to play online. .. which makes it that much easier.
Players will come, we just need some new material.
When WAMbot was released, hundreds of players popped up and mohaa was booming.

what about attacking hacking mohaa again, I understand that this one is risky because it could ruin mohaa completely and im not one to make people pay for hacks but here is some ideas for hacks that have never been tried
-walk threw doors
-I know this way was once tried to shoot threw walls anywhere, put a some type of glass object on the gun (like lampost or something)might be hard to see and seems only like it would be serverside mod and pretty annoying
-working speedhack
-actual warping - warp from one side to another of the map
-invisible- dont really like this
-shark- even when there is server protection
I not really into paid for hacks but this would have to stay hidden could not just release this to public cuz mohaa would die
First one is possible, but that would literally kill MOHAA. I mean think about it, if you can walk through doors, you can walk through walls, and if walking through walls is possible, your basically invulnerable.
2. Second attempt was tryed a while back by 3rr0r & Virusss and no luck, however if your just referring to a attempt at anothe STWH without the need to lean, once again possible, but imagine the damage it can do with aimbots.
3. Was created by Bob0lo0o & MPowell a few years ago. Seemed as if it was glitched and you were lagging, but when others saw you, you were going fast as hell compared to everyone else.
4. Healing, once again created by the people above as well as a few other hackers back in the day. It's possible but these were all private and couldn't have been replicated to this day.
5. Warping\teleporting, don't see how thats possible. There was a glitch for a while but it only affected client 0, and now it's patched anyway.
6. Invisibility, heard it's possible, have yet to see it replicated.
7. Sharking, nothing more than an animation, I believe it can be forced clientside. I could be wrong, but if you think about it, it's forcing the client into a certain animation.
Even if this all was done and kept private (sold to public), it's always a matter of time before some retard just can't get enough and ends up leaking or releasing work to the public. What's private should stay private & whats public should stay public. There can't be a middleman, because the middleman screws us hard core.
I still stand for a patch. I've gotten many requests for one and I have been working on one for awhile, but I still think it will bring together both sides of the community again. Clean people will have something to look forward to, and hackers will look forward into attempting to bypass.
